‘Sleaford Mods’ kicked off the 3rd date of their UK tour In Edinburgh at the Liquid Rooms. The ‘English Tapas’ tour began in London and the mods are playing over 17 shows on this tour. This has the been their first show in Edinburgh since 2015 playing a gig at Le Belle Angelle.
Their latest album ‘English Tapas’ reached 11th in the UK album charts when released on 16th March 2017.
Before the band came on stage, support act ‘NACTHEXEN’ an all female punk band from Sheffield started the show as crowds of people started walking in. By quarter to nine the mods finally made their way on stage with the crowd making the Nottingham band feels at home in Edinburgh. The majority of the set was pieces from their new album, including ‘B.H.S’ and ‘Army Nights’ which proved popular with the crowd. Also, as the show drew near to a close they played a lot of fan favourites such as ‘Tied up in Nottz’ and ‘Jobseeker’, my personal favourite.
While on stage they were entertaining the crowd making them laugh and asking “Are you having a good time?” The band were entertaining and funny to watch and I’d definitely recommend seeing them for a good time.
