JESS GLYNNE BRINGS HER "SUMMER OF LOVE" TOUR TO SCOTLAND
First up tonight we have London's Mullally. His sound throws back to old school soul but is blended with catchy new age pop hooks in a tremendous fashion, and is a great way to start the show. The near capacity stadium takes to him immediately, with fans dancing their way through his set.
A definite highlight is current single "She Don't Know Me" which has one of the catchiest choruses around. This lad is definitely one to keep an eye on, with a handful of singles already released you can guarantee that as soon as an album drops he'll start to dominate some of the top chart spaces.
As Jess Glynne's huge backing band takes to the stage you can feel the anticipation build in the crowd until Jess herself appears, in some of the shiniest trousers we've seen, and strides onto a platform at the back.
Jess is one of those artists whom you tend to forget how many massive songs she has, but from the word go we're easily reminded of them. From 2014's "Rather Be" all the way through to the more recent hits "Take Me Home" and "Ain't Got Far To Go" the whole crowd can be seen having the night of their lives.
Although Jess herself is the main star, kudos has to be given to her backing band. With a huge variety of musicians, they create an amazing sound which resonates perfectly around the stadium.
Stand outs of the show are definitely the chart topping "Hold My Hand" (accompanied by large inflatable balls which are thrown out to the masses gathered) and the aforementioned, beautifully slow "Take Me Home" which shows off Jess's superb vocal range and brings out the crowds phones and lighters to create the perfect scene.
The show overall is spectacular, and one which should definitely not be missed!
