‘BON IVER’ RETURN TO SCOTLAND SINCE 2011 TO PLAY FIRST OF TWO SOLD OUT SHOWS AT EDINBURGH’S PLAYHOUSE AFTER PLAYING SOLD OUT SHOW AT BLACKPOOL’S WINTER GARDENS.

Doors opened at 19:00 for the chamber pop, folktronica band who hail from
Fall Creek, Wisconsin in the US with support from ‘Mikaela Davis’ who treated the sold-out crowd with a 45 minute set with her harp. ‘Justin Vernon’ and co took to the stage at 21:15 and started with ’22 (OVER S∞∞N)’, the next 8 songs during the set were from the latest album ’22, A Million’ which was released back in 2016 on the 30th of September. Fans got more of a treat with the band playing songs from previous albums for Emma, Forever Ago’ and their self-titled album ‘Bon Iver’ also from their ‘Blood Bank’ EP by performing ‘Babys’ and ‘Woods’, during the set they also did a beautiful cover of ‘Take It With Me’ by ‘Tom Waits’ mentioning that ‘The Edinburgh Playhouse’ is ‘Tom Waits’ favourite ever room to perform in. ‘Mikaela Davis’ joined the band on stage to perform a stunning, passionate performance of ‘Flume’ not long before their first encore. The concert finished at 22:45 with the band ending the set with one of the fan favourites ‘Skinny Love’.

‘Bon Iver’ originally were scheduled to play two nights at ‘The Edinburgh Playhouse’ back in February on the 12th and 13th but had to cancel the tour due to personal issues. 

The next time ‘Bon Iver’ is touring in the UK will be down London in 2018 for four dates at ‘Eventim Apollo’.

Ticket holders of all previously cancelled London shows will receive information via e-mail and will have the first chance to buy the tickets which started on the 27th of September at 10:00 and it will conclude on the 1st of October at 00:00. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on the 3rd of October at 10:00 via https://boniver.org/tour (there is a strict 4 ticket limit per person for each event).
