The festival that will replace T in the Park in 2017 has been announced.
TRNSMT – a play on “transmit”, in case you didn’t guess – will take place on Glasgow Green from 7-9 July this year.
T in the Park was cancelled for 2017 after last year’s event was plagued with transport and logistic difficulties.
There were also drug-related deaths and a poor Friday headline set from The Stone Roses.
In announcing the break organisers DF Concerts cited “continued restrictions” and a need to “take stock”.
TRNSMT stands in for now – T in the Park isn’t strictly confirmed for 2018 yet – although no details on the lineup and tickets have been announced.
