Stormzy is the latest name to be announced for the debut of Scotland’s TRNSMT festival.

The grime star joins a stellar lineup including Radiohead, Catfish and the Bottlemen and The 1975 for the 2017 replacement for T in the Park.

Stormzy’s addition is the first announcement of an urban flavour and comes hot on the heels of the release of his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer.

He’ll perform on Saturday 8 July, alongside Catfish, Kasabian, The Kooks, George Ezra and Circa Waves.

Stormzy has previously been announced for a number of other UK festivals this year.

The first lineup announcement for TRNSMT, made in January, also included the likes of Biffy Clyro, Twin Atlantic, Rag’n’Bone Man and more.

Tickets are on sale now, priced at £149 for all three days at the Glasgow Green location.

That’s the early bird price, available until next Tuesday.
