The alternative electronic sounds of Phoenix will be travelling the world this year, with the band set for a four-month world tour.

Kicking off in Miami, Florida in May, an initial North American run is followed by worldwide performances – mostly at festivals – from June through September.

The French band will perform extensively in their home country, with further dates around Europe, including the closing night at London’s Alexandra Palace on 30 September, and in Asia.

That’s the only UK date to be announced, although they’re confirmed for Electric Picnic in Ireland on 2 September as well.

Phoenix recently teased new music on Facebook, and with the tour on the way we’re sure to hear more from the band in the near future.

Their last album was Bankrupt! in 2013, with their career highlight – 2009’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix – released in 2009.

Phoenix will be joined alternately in North American by Whitney, Miike Snow and The Lemon Twigs. It’s not yet known who will support them at their UK show..
